It’s our last weekly newsletter for the 25-26 school year! Where has the time gone? Every year, the days seem to go faster. I hope you have found these newsletters helpful.

CONGRATULATIONS to Mrs. Denise Hermann, Mrs. Amy Perry, Mrs. Elyse Sloves and Mrs. Penny Yovina on their retirements! We are thankful for their years at JFK and wish them only the best as they begin their next chapters. Best wishes, also, to Mr. Nick Whaley, Mr. Lazer Friedman, Mrs. Farzana Soomro and Ms. Liz Figueiredo as they leave our JFK family. They will be missed.

Thank you to the PTO for everything they did for our students and staff this year. From financially supporting field trips to having Austin Florian visit to an end of year ice cream treat and staff luncheons in between, they have been our biggest supporters. THANK YOU!

Summer reading and math information has been distributed to students. Please speak with your child about the importance of working on math and reading over the summer to help maintain and strengthen their skills.

PLEASE take some time to monitor your child's use of social media this summer. Encourage them to make good decisions when online, and especially on social media apps.

Attention Grade 6 Families:
The Health Assessment Record for entry into Grade 7 for the 2026-27 year should be on file as soon as possible but no later than the first day of school, which is August 27, 2026. Physicals can be dropped off in the Main Office over the summer between the hours of 8AM – 2PM. Please contact our nurses in the Health Office at 860-628-3275 (ext. 14013) with any questions.

The summer always makes me nostalgic. Personally, I find it much too quiet here during the summer. I will miss the hustle and bustle and energy that fill our classrooms and halls during the school year. We’ll still be busy over the summer, but it will be too quiet at times.
I wish you and your family a restful and memorable summer. Savor every moment of these days.
