Some Important News from JFK
Hello JFK Families –
It's important for parents to stay connected to their child's school. Many events are included in these weekly updates. The daily announcements are another way to see everything that is happening at JFK. We encourage you to participate in school programs and events, such as parent conferences, PTO meetings and other happenings while regularly checking the website to stay in the loop about JFK activities.

Thank you to all who participated in Hats for Hope today. All donations will directly support the Tommy Fund for Childhood Cancer. The Tommy Fund provides emotional and financial support to local children with cancer and their families being treated at the Tommy Fund Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Center, Smilow Cancer Hospital, Yale New Haven Childrens’ Hospital and its affiliates.

Reminder: Notification to families with links to sign up for a conference with your child’s teachers will be sent home this afternoon at 5:00pm.

TOYS NEEDED!
We are excited again this year to be one of the stops on Valentine the Clown's Toy Express next month! Last year, we collected over 500 toys for the toy drive!
Beginning Monday, please help us collect 350 new, unwrapped toys! The Toy Express will stop at JFK on December 1st for a pickup to be delivered to Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and to those in need.
Collection bins are located in the main hallway.
Any grade level that donates 200 toys will earn a movie prize and any grade level that donates 100 toys will earn music in the cafeteria during lunch. All donations are due by Tuesday, November 25th. Please help us reach our goal.

We Need your Help!
Support Our PTO at Fancy Bagels on Sunday, November 9th from 7am-12pm!
We’re teaming up with Fancy Bagels to raise funds for our PTO — and we need volunteers to help! Sign up for a 1-hour shift to stand outside Fancy Bagels, greet customers, and collect donations that go directly toward supporting our students, teachers, and school programs.
